Archery is the practice of using a bow to shoot an arrow at a target.  Whether you have years of experience or are picking up a bow and arrow for the first time, I teach you to hone your skills as an archer and be consistent in your shooting.  In my teaching method, I work one on one with each student to ensure correct form. Further, I encourage my students to take less shots with the goal of more accuracy. My students gain the confidence they need through archery to shoot a handgun, as the skills in archery provide the building blocks for shooting with precision.

Axemanship is the skill of using a sharp tool to split wood.  In this course, we learn to split wood with an ax, hatchet, splitting mall and a stone.  I give individual training to each student to ensure proper form while using these tools.  We focus on precision and safety.  My students gain the confidence needed to chop wood and build a fire for warmth and cooking in the wild.

Fly fishing is a form of fishing using flies made from feathers, fabric, thread or hide to resemble insects or aquatic life. I teach the many techniques needed for casting in open spaces as well as the modifications used in a wooded river or stream. I break down the unique method of casting into parts so that with continued practice and muscle memory, casting becomes second nature.  Mastery in the presentation of a fly opens many rich moments in nature.  Practice, presence and accuracy are rewarded with catching MANY fish while fly fishing.

Gun Handling is the study of how to safely wield a firearm.  This course teaches the basics of gun selection, gun safety and laws of gun possession.  We begin by learning to focus, aim and shoot using a bb gun. Carrying a pistol or firearm for any reason requires a keen mind and deliberate action. When you deal with a tool that has a significant amount of power you must have a significant amount of understanding in that power.  This course lays the foundation for you to carry a firearm while in nature to protect yourself and your family.

Wildlife Photography allows us to engage with the natural world in a peaceful way.  Capturing an image of a bird at dawn or a field at dusk is a way to bring that beauty home with us.  In photography, I teach you to work with point of view, lighting and composition. The stalking skills used for hunting also translate to photography.  As you become one with your natural surroundings, it enables you to come into proximity with wildlife in hopes that you will capture their image as they engage with you.  I teach you the technical aspects of photography, as well as how to move through nature to come closer to your subject.
